Just got back from a gorgeous 8 days in Sardinia.

We flew into Olbia, picked up a hire care and drove to the gorgeous . We stayed there for 3 nights. The hotel location was perfect. We saw the sunset Phi Beach Official which I would 100% recommend.

We then drove 4+ hours through the highest winding mountains roads to Hotel &Ristorante La Bitta which again was a stunning location which I would 100% recommend. We hired a boat for the day and saw all 16 beaches along the coastline.

Finally we drove 2.5 hours to Hotel Flamingo Sardegna near P**a. The location of the hotel was great but I would not recommend staying at this hotel. The food was poor, the staff were dismissive and it definitely isn’t a 4 star resort.

If anyone is thinking of a Sardinia roadtrip/holiday - feel free to contact me for advice/tips/bookings etc.

Lake Bled in Slovenia has been on my travel bucket list for a few years now. It was absolutely stunning!

I stayed at the Grand Toplice Hotel which is right on the lake and is a traditional, old style 5 star hotel.

There are plenty of other hotels/apartments etc to stay at.

There are also a good choice of restaurants and bars nearby.

Flights to Slovenia are quite expensive so my top tip is to fly to a nearby airport and pick up a hire car and then take a road trip 🚗

I flew into Trieste (a 1.5 hour drive to Lake Bled) and out from Venice (a 3 hour drive from Lake Bled). This meant I also got the added bonus of a day wandering around Venice 🇮🇹
