Lake Bled in Slovenia has been on my travel bucket list for a few years now. It was absolutely stunning!

I stayed at the Grand Toplice Hotel which is right on the lake and is a traditional, old style 5 star hotel.

There are plenty of other hotels/apartments etc to stay at.

There are also a good choice of restaurants and bars nearby.

Flights to Slovenia are quite expensive so my top tip is to fly to a nearby airport and pick up a hire car and then take a road trip 🚗

I flew into Trieste (a 1.5 hour drive to Lake Bled) and out from Venice (a 3 hour drive from Lake Bled). This meant I also got the added bonus of a day wandering around Venice 🇮🇹

I’ve just returned from a lovely 10 day holiday which was lovely and relaxing. The sunrise views from our balcony room were stunning!

We visited (and went on the fastest rollercoaster in the world 😱) and which was a great day out!
