LOCATION DESCRIPTION FROM THE OWNER
Weston-super-Mare is sited at the gateway to the South West. Getting here couldn’t be easier. There are excellent road, rail and air links thanks to two junctions of the M5 serving the resort, a central railway station and the nearby Bristol Airport. Visitors can enjoy the miles of sandy beaches, the flagship Grand Pier, two theatres, a cinema, a bustling High Street and the central Sovereign shopping centre. There are two testing golf courses, parks and woodland walks that provide breathtaking views across the Bristol Channel. And of course there are so many places to eat and drink thanks to the variety of restaurants, bars and cafes. All of these attractions merge to make Weston a year-round destination for visitors. The beach is clean, the people are friendly, the air is fresh and the pavements are flat. Whatever your age, everything’s here to ensure you have a most enjoyable holiday.
AROUND THE TOWN
Weston is a resort that has it all – from the traditional donkeys on the beach to top class shows at the Playhouse featuring stars from stage and screen. There are some great attractions – the Grand Pier, the Winter Gardens, the dramatic sweep of the coast around Anchor Head to name just three. The town has two golf clubs – one is a links course just across the road from Heather Lodge. Also within a few minutes’ walk is Clarence Park, which embraces one of the town’s bowling clubs, where holiday visitors are welcome to play. And for those who enjoy walking, a stroll through Weston Woods is a must.
