One of Tauntons Primary Schools are bringing 60 children to the Visitors Centre next week. We will welcome them with a trip to the Memorial and Battle Field and show them the exhibits with a hands on session with some weapons of the day. Plus a tour of our beautiful St Marys Church that became a prison.

Just an update on the Battle of Sedgemoor Memorial. The two trees made it to 100 years old (planted 1927 as rootballed saplings). They sadly died and became dangerous so they had to be removed. We are exploring ideas for replacements. We have salvaged the iron work that made the cages protecting the trees in hope that they can be reused with the new trees.

Just to say thank you and Peter so much for such a great entertaining afternoon. The combination of human element stories, visual slides and tangible objects was perfectly balanced. We all learnt a lot from you and Peter.
As mentioned if you have the maps in .pdf or .jpeg versions which can be emailed to me I am sure some of our members would like a copy to keep and we would like one to retain in our Society archives.
Trust you made a safe journey back, here's wishing your society and interactive exhibition at St Mary's all the best in the future
