We know that the Cottage Company can be tricky to get hold of on occasion... they released the following statement today (1 November) with regards bookings:

"We are aware of the new England-wide national lockdown due to commence on Thursday, 5 November 2020. We are in the process of contacting customers due to arrive tomorrow at accommodation in England and customers who live in England and whose booking is due to start tomorrow and end 5 November 2020 or thereafter. We would urge all other customers to refrain from contacting us at this point as our lines are extremely busy. Please rest assured that we will reach out to all customers with bookings at accommodation in England or who live in England, in each case with bookings starting between 3 November and 1 December 2020 with their options, which will include a cash refund."

We're sorry it has to be this way - but better safe than sorry. Hopefully we'll be welcoming guests back to a safer North Yorkshire in December. Ann, Rob & Sarah

We know that a lot of you are struggling to contact the Cottage company, this is the update that they just sent us. As far as we know, you can change your dates online to a date within the next 12 months. Thank you for your patience.

ACTIVELY CONTACTING BOOKINGS
We will now begin to actively contact all customers with breaks due to take place up to 31st May 2020

NO NEW ARRIVALS BEFORE
We will not be taking any new arrival bookings for dates up to 30th June 2020

JUNE ARRIVALS
Customers with arrivals through June 2020 will have options available to them, however, our administration focus is on bookings up to the end of May as we deal with customers in date order and we will be asking for their patience at this time.

PRICE MATCH PROMISE DATE EXTENSION
We are also proposing an extension of the Price Match Promise to customers who were due to arrive before 30th June 2020, to offer them a chance to re-book their holiday for the same amount (subject to keeping similar period dates and duration).
We will provide a further update on other initiatives later this week.
