The Pirate's Palace is a 'shoes off' house. Slippers are provided (up to UK size 10), but feel free to bring your own.

Description:
The Pirate's Palace is eclectic and fun, with modern-day comforts and off-street parking, plus a wood-burning stove and magnificent fireplace and ceiling rose.
Beautifully furnished to an exceptionally high standard throughout, The Pirate’s Palace has been fully renovated, and painted in Farrow and Ball colours, whilst still retaining many original features, such as the stunning stained-glass front door panels, which greet you on your arrival, and the incredible, huge ceiling rose that adorns the living area.
This property has been split in two, with The Pirate’s Palace boasting the best of the views, as you will be on the first, second, and third floors. A footpath and stone steps lead you up to the entrance, and once inside you are welcomed into your private hallway, with the staircase sweeping up before you.
Up on the first floor, you have the impressive and elegant, large living area at the front, with the most incredible views over the town. Here you can unwind on the comfortable sofas, watching the world go by, with the option of watching Sky TV (with Netflix) if you can drag your eyes away from the panorama through the large, panelled bay windows. There is also a wood burner, for those cosy, atmospheric evenings in. The stylish, modern kitchen area is finished to a high specification, with integrated units and quality appliances. This is a spacious and well-stocked kitchen, sure to delight.
Upstairs on the second floor, you have two double bedrooms, boasting the best views in the house, across the rooftops to Whitby Abbey and St. Mary’s Church, and out to sea. Both bedrooms feature Emma J Shipley furnishings. There is also a shower room with rainfall shower and a bathroom on this floor, both finished to an exceptionally high standard, to add a little touch of luxury to your stay – it’s not often you find a shower with crystal chandeliers!
At the top of the house, on the third floor, you have an additional two attic bedrooms, with beds partly under the eaves (two doubles), making this property suitable for up to eight guests in total. Each room has been lovingly furnished, with both funky retro pieces, as well as tasteful modern furnishings, adding to that unique sense of character. There is also a small chill-out area outside the two attic bedrooms. Please note that the stairs up to the attic are very steep, and are not therefore suitable for people with mobility problems or for unsupervised younger children. There is a lockable safety gate at the top of the attic stairs.
At the front of the house there is a lawned garden as well as free, on-street parking.
