This week, our CEO, Dan, accompanied by our Kenya Director, Alex, visited the Ministry of Education, Kenya to meet the new Permanent Secretary of Education, Hon John Ololtuaa , where they discussed working closer together to help deliver the new CBC through our volunteers and foundation's work at our 26 partner schools across the country.

They were then privileged to meet the new British High Commissioner, H.E Matt Baugh, at the British High Commission Nairobi to discuss our programmes and the impact they have on both our partner schools and volunteers.

We are bringing our life-changing volunteering programme to The Gambia!

When African Adventures began, our mission was simple: connect volunteers with communities most in need and create experiences that change lives in both Africa and the UK.

Today, we are excited to take the next step in that journey. Thanks to the incredible support of our volunteers and donors, we're expanding our impact to The Gambia known as 'The Smiling Coast of Africa' for its warm welcome, vibrant culture and strong sense of community.

This new programme combines meaningful volunteering, cultural immersion and community partnership, creating life-changing experiences for volunteers while supporting better educational opportunities for young Gambians.

At West End Academy, our volunteers enhanced the school’s environment by leveling the ground before laying the cabros.

Additionally, they painted the slide and swings, helping create a safer and brighter play area where the students can develop important physical and social skills.

A group of volunteers improved the learning conditions at Cherish Academy by tiling a classroom floor that was uneven and rough concrete before.

This has impacted the lives of the students at our partner school by creating a safer and more comfortable environment that will help them focus on their studies.

Recently, our volunteers transformed the learning environment in a classroom at River Joy Academy by adding educational murals to the walls. These murals turned the classroom into an engaging place to learn.

During her recent visit at Al-Ikhwan Nursery and Primary School in Zanzibar, Kya, our Programs Officer, shared some of the resources that the school needs to transform learning opportunities for SEN students. To make the vision a reality, we are looking for 40 generous founders to donate £250 each.

Your donation will make education accessible to children with additional needs through the construction of a Library, ICT Room and SEN classroom, enabling our partner school to enroll 40-45 SEN pupils.
