🎣 WINDERMERE PREDATOR TRIP SUMMARY: THE VALUE OF THE REEL LIFE

The pike, perch and trout on Windermere certainly gave us the cold shoulder this week!

Fishing was undeniably tough out on the big water.

While we managed to raise a few follows and create some exciting chances, the predators simply weren't committing fully to the lures.

As any true angler knows, fishing is about so much more than just catching.The real highlights of the trip didn't come from the net.

They came from the brilliant company, the deep conversations, and the invaluable life lessons and advice shared across the boat.

Spending hours on the water provides the perfect headspace to find true mental clarity. Stripping away the daily noise allowed us to simply enjoy living in the moment—which is what matters most of all.

A tough day of fishing will always beat a great day at the office.

Back out soon to crack the code. Now some water is finally coming, the chances will no doubt turn into results.

Windermere. On its day can be so rewarding, then it can also be so frustrating. It can be harsh and cold, then calm and bright. Perhaps some might call it a Bipolar lake? 🤷‍♂️

An early double, (as we where being moved off that spot due to a Police incident! 🤯??) Then 4 dropped fish.... the odds where stacked against us!

Made some subtle, possibly obvious changes to technique, eventually saw us (just) win the day with 5 fish to the boat. 😅

The biggest fish clearly aware that Anchor ropes are a chance of freedom! Made for an interesting improvised landing strategy! 😂

No better place to fish in England IMO.

One run could be a jack or a British record.

A natural venue like no other. So grateful 🙏 😇
