Autumn in The Savill Garden is such an exciting time of the year to see the brightly changing palette of colours. 🚶‍♂️Celebrating the anniversary of the Eton Walkway

The Eton Walkway was officially launched 10 years ago, this weekend!

The Eton Walkway offers a fascinating journey through more than 500 years of local history, heritage and culture. This week marks the anniversary of the Walkway's opening, giving residents and visitors the perfect opportunity to discover, or rediscover, Eton's hidden gems.

The 2-mile circular route takes around an hour to complete and connects 18 points of interest across the historic town of Eton, starting at Windsor Bridge. Along the way, visitors can explore landmarks including Eton College, the Herschel Observatory, Jubilee Square, the Brocas, and many more sites that tell the story of Eton's rich and diverse heritage.

Look out for the permanent bronze markers set into the ground, featuring Eton's coat of arms, originally granted by King Henry VI in 1449, which guide walkers around the route.

If you’re visiting Windsor and the Royal Borough this autumn, do ensure time in your itinerary to explore Eton.

🎻 Experience the next generation of musical talent at Windsor Festival 2026 🎶

🎶 Enjoy a truly unique concert on Saturday 3 October at the magnificent St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle for a special evening presented by Berkshire Music Trust in partnership with Windsor Festival.

🪉Featuring the outstanding Berkshire Youth Symphony Orchestra, this concert celebrates some of Berkshire's most talented young performers, including winners of the Berkshire Young Musician of the Year awards and the Young Singer of the Year 2026.

Under the direction of Jonathan Burnett, audiences will enjoy a stunning programme including works by Debussy, Saint-Saëns, Mahler and Sibelius, performed in one of the country's most spectacular historic settings.

This inspiring concert showcases the very best of young musical talent and promises an unforgettable evening of orchestral music.

The much-loved Trunks Across the Thames trail comes to a spectacular close with The Final Parade at Trunks Across the Thames - THE FINAL PARADE, where every beautifully decorated elephant sculpture will gather in one place for a final showcase.
