⚠️ Guard Change Update – Windsor

☀️ Due to forecast high temperatures and Met Office heat warnings, there will be no Ceremonial Guard Change in Windsor this Thursday, 25th June.

🥵 These changes are in place to prioritise the wellbeing of soldiers and visitors during the heat.

If you’re planning a visit to Windsor, please take care in the hot weather and follow the latest guidance.

❄️There are lots of shady areas around town, air-conditioned shops, restaurants and cafes.
🌳 and some beautiful cool spots along the river.

🇬🇧 This week is Armed Forces Week, and this post is a way of showing our appreciation to the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to Service families, veterans and cadets.
We are grateful to them all.

💂🏻‍♀️Windsor, as a garrison town is home to many serving and ex military personnel. Visitors and locals alike are privileged to have the opportunity to witness numerous unique and prestigious military and royal events throughout the year.

🇬🇧 The Armed Forces Flag is flying proudly from The Windsor Guildhall all of this week.

🎩 Each day the Royal carriages depart Windsor Castle on their way to Royal Ascot. The Royal Family and their daily guests switch from a fleet of Royal cars, including the Royal Bentley into the Carriages for the final stretch of the journey and their arrival into Ascot Racecourse.
