🏁 DAY 14 | 2025 TOUR: THE JOURNEY HOME - WHAT A RIDE! 🇧🇪🇫🇷🇬🇧
All good things must come to an end! Our final ride together took us through the densely wooded Ardennes, weaving back and forth between Belgium and France one last time. Coffee by the Meuse River, open French countryside, then onto the Eurotunnel - even caught an earlier train! ✅ Two weeks of legendary passes, incredible roads, and a fantastic bunch of riders. The question everyone's asking? "Which Columbus tour next?" Norway 2026 seems to be top of the list! What an adventure this has been! 👇

Alps and Dolomites Grand Tour Day 14. Our final ride on what has been a fantastic tour with a great bunch of guys. Many laughs, lots of great rides and excellent cake 🎂 of course. Our last ride together took us through the densely wooded area of the Ardennes, crossing back and forth between Belgium and France. Coffee by The Muse River and then on across open French countryside to our final destination of the Eurotunnel. Earlier train caught which is always a bonus, goodbyes said and talk of which Columbus Tour will be booked next, Norway 2026 seem to be top of the list👍. Thanks gents, it was a pleasure to meet you all and be your guide for 2 weeks, hope to see you all again on another one👍😀🏍

🏔️ DAY 13 | 2025 TOUR: VOSGES, VERDUN & "SLUGS IN BLANKETS"! 🇫🇷
Our penultimate day started with perfect riding conditions across the Vosges on smooth sweeping tarmac! ✅ We returned to the vast open farmland and deserted roads of Lorraine National Park that we'd crossed two weeks earlier, visited the moving Douaumont Ossuary Memorial near Verdun, then rolled into lovely Bouillon for our final night. Evening meal by the river where some brave souls ordered snails... or as Mike called them, "slugs in blankets!" 🤣 Last day tomorrow - here's how Day 13 went! 👇

Alps and Dolomites Grand Tour Day 13. Our penultimate day on tour started with a ride across the Vosges in perfect riding conditions and on smooth sweeping tarmac. Our route took back to the vast open farmland and deserted roads of the Lorraine National Park, that we had crossed 2 weeks previously at the beginning of our tour. Continuing on after lunch we visited the Douaumont Ossuary Memorial near Verdun and then onto our last night's stop on this trip in the lovely town of Boullion. Evening meal by the river where snails was on the menu for some of the group, or "slugs in blankets" as Mike liked to call them🤣. Last day tomorrow as we head back to Calais and our Eurotunnel crossing.

🏔️ DAY 12 | 2025 TOUR: FAREWELL SWISS ALPS, BONJOUR FRANCE! 🇨🇭🇫🇷
One last Alpine hurrah - Grimsel Pass in thick mist and heavy rain at the summit! Quick photo with the rusty biker, then down we went with clearing skies. ✅ The landscape softened as we headed north through Swiss countryside - rolling hills replacing dramatic peaks. Quiet back roads took us around Basel and into France, ending with a lovely meal in the beautiful centre of Colmar. The Alps delivered right to the very end! Here's our journey! 👇

Alps and Dolomites Grand Tour Day 12. We headed away from the amazing Swiss Alps today, but not before a last run up the Grimsal Pass and the obligatory photo next to the rusty biker. As we climbed the mist became thicker and thicker, turning to heavy rain at the summit. So a very quick photo stop then off down the other side with the mist clearing as we dropped down to Meiringen. As we progressed north through the Swiss countryside the landscape became softer, with rolling hills rather than the dramatic peaks of recent days, our route took us around Basel and across into France on more quiet back roads. Another great day's riding ended with a lovely meal in the centre of Colmar.

🏔️ DAY 11 | 2025 TOUR: THE ANDERMATT LOOP - ALPINE PERFECTION! 🇨🇭
A day riding the Alps' most iconic passes is HARD to beat! We started misty on the Nufenen, tackled Tremola's cobbles in excellent style, then conquered Susten (goulash soup for lunch!), Grimsel, Furka, St Gotthard, and back to Nufenen! ✅ Six legendary passes in one day, everyone returned with massive smiles debating which was best. The Alps? Showing off today! Tomorrow we leave these dramatic peaks behind - but what a way to say goodbye! Here's our epic loop! 👇

Alps and Dolomites Grand Tour Day 11. A day riding your motorbike around some of the Alps most iconic passes is hard to beat. Our ride started with a misty run up the Nufenen, with the weather clearing as we dropped down the other side. Our next challenge was the cobbles of Tremolo which was completed in excellent style by all, onwards for cake and coffee at the top. Susten Pass (excellent goulash soup for lunch), Grimsel, Furka, St Gottard and Nufenen all completed. What a days ride we had returning to our hotel with smiles all round and chat of which was the best pass. We head away from the Alps tomorrow, but still plenty of great roads to be ridden. 👍

🏔️ DAY 10 | 2025 TOUR: STELVIO CONQUERED! 🇮🇹🇨🇭
THIS is the day we'd been waiting for! Early start, straight up Passo Stelvio's famous 48 hairpins, photos halfway, souvenirs at the top, then down those iconic zig-zags you see in all the photos! ✅ But we weren't done - Fluela Pass (excellent goulash soup!), Oberalp Pass (coffee & cake!), and Furka Pass with a nod to 007 at James Bond Strasse and the Belvedere Hotel. Four legendary passes in one epic day? Absolutely smashed it! Here's how it went down! 👇

Alps and Dolomites Grand Tour Day 10. Off to Switzerland we went, with our first challenge of the day being Passo Stelvio, with an earlier start to miss the traffic we headed up our first pass of the day. Photos half way up, followed by a stop at the top for a bit of souvenir shopping we then continued on down the famous zig zags you see in all the photos of Stelvio. Our next pass, a wonderful sweeping road took us across into Switzerland and our first coffee stop, which has stunning views back across towards the Italian Alps and also excellent hot chocolate. Continuing on our next pass was the Fluela where we stopped a the top for an excellent goulash soup, yum. Onwards again and our next challenge was the Oberalp pass with a stop for coffee and cake, before we took on our last pass of the day, Furka. With a nod to 007 at James Bond Strasse and the Belvedere Hotel from the Goldfinger movie, we completed our day. An excellent days ride, with more to come tomorrow with the whole Andermatt loop on the menu, don't think anyone will be having a rest day!!

🏔️ DAY 9 | 2025 TOUR: STUNNING LAKESIDE CLIMBS TO BORMIO! 🇮🇹
Glorious weather greeted us as we departed Lake Garda! Riding lakeside before climbing higher into the hills, the views across the water were absolutely stunning - this really IS a beautiful place to ride! ✅ Coffee by Lake Idro, mountain-top lunch with scenery that has it all, then onward to Bormio. The finish? Around 100 bikes travelling through the tunnels together in convoy - what a cool end to the day! Stelvio tomorrow! 👇

Alps & Dolomites Grand Tour Day 9. We were greeted with glorious weather as we departed Lake Garda, riding along the lake side before we turned off and headed into the hills. The views across the lake as we climbed higher were absolutely stunning, this really is a beautiful place to ride a bike. Coffee by lake Idro and a mountain top lunch stop, today's ride has it all with stunning scenery thrown in. We continued our journey to Bormio, arriving in good time despite the long tunnels that lead into Bormio being temporarily closed to allow fuel lorries to pass through them due to a land slide on the the route they would normally use. Quite a cool end to the day as there must have been around 100 bikes travelling through the tunnels together in convey once they were opened to traffic again.

🏔️ DAY 8 | 2025 TOUR: MONTE BALDO & LAKE GARDA FROM ABOVE! 🇮🇹
Everyone chose the ride out - no surprise there! Ferry across Lake Garda, then up the twisty pass around Monte Baldo where things got properly cool at altitude. The viewpoint? A jaw-dropping 2000 meters above the lake below! ✅ Stunning vistas everywhere we looked, lunch with spectacular views, and a lovely shoreline ride before the ferry back across. Tomorrow we head to Bormio - Passo Stelvio awaits! Here's our Lake Garda adventure! 👇

Alps & Dolomites Grand Tour Day 8. Everyone selected the ride out option for our 8th day on tour, so fueled up and ready to go for our next adventure! Starting with a ferry ride to get us to the opposite side of the lake for our ride up and around Monte Baldo. Cooler weather as we climbed up the twisty pass that takes us to our first coffee stop. Onwards to a view point with stunning views down to the lake, which is around 2000 meters below us. Lunch with yet more spectacular views followed by a lovely ride back along the shore line before taking the ferry back across. Off to Bormio tomorrow and the infamous Passo Stelvio to be conquered the following day.

🏔️ DAY 7 | 2025 TOUR: FROM DOLOMITES TO LAKE GARDA! 🇮🇹
Saying goodbye to the Dolomites is never easy, but Lake Garda was calling! We squeezed in a few more passes before our gradual descent, then traded mountain peaks for sweeping roads through vineyards and hillside villages. Lunch by the lake with obligatory gelato? Check! ✅ Coffee stop with breathtaking views down to Garda? Absolutely! Two nights at our unique boutique hotel - rest day or ride out tomorrow? Here's how Day 7 unfolded! 👇

Alps & Dolomites Grand Tour Day 7. Leaving the Dolomites behind we continued our journey across Italy towards our days destination of Lake Garda, we still had a few passes to ride before we started our gradual descent from the mountains. As our altitude dropped further we travelled along fabulous sweeping roads through vineyards and past small villages perched on the hillside. We took lunch by the lake with of course the obligatory gelato to finish our meal 😋. Continuing on we heading into the hills to our final coffee stop which has breathtaking views down onto the lake. Final run to our unique boutique hotel where we are for the next two nights. Ride out or rest day tomorrow 🤔

🏔️ DAY 6 | 2025 TOUR: DOLOMITES DELIVERED! 🇮🇹
THIS is why we come to the Dolomites! Everyone chose the ride out today and we absolutely smashed it - 10+ passes, lesser-used quiet roads, dramatic scenery at every turn, and endless corners through one of Europe's most stunning mountain ranges. Finished with coffee at Passo Pordoi with massive smiles all round. The Dolomites? Pure biker's paradise! The twisty road itch? Completely scratched!✅ Here's how our Dolomites adventure unfolded! 👇

Alps & Dolomites Grand Tour Day 6. Well, we already knew what the choice would be today! With the fabulous roads on offer in the Dolomites of course everyone went for the ride out. Fueled up and ready to go, we headed off on our looping ride out, heading away from the madding crowds onto some lesser used quieter passes to start our day, stopping for photos and sustenance as we go. The scenery in the Dolomites is absolutely breathtaking and roads are a bikers paradise, we lost count of how many passes we rode today but it must have been at least 10. Finishing our day with coffee at the top off Passo Pordoi, we headed back to our hotel with the twisty road itch most definitely scratched 👍😀🏍 We leave the Dolomites behind tomorrow as we continue our tour, travelling onto Lake Garda for another two night stop over.

🦌 DAY 102025 TOUR: THE N621 "POTS & PANS ROAD" - HAIRPIN HEAVEN! 🏔️

THIS is what we came for! 🤩

We hunted down the iconic Bear and Deer sculpture monuments (perfect photo ops!), rode some of the best roads the Picos has to offer, and soaked up every corner, every view, every moment of this incredible mountain range! 🏍️✨

Here's a recap of our days adventures.

Spain and Portugal Tour Day 10. Ride out, ride out and definitely ride out was the choice made by everyone and what a good choice it was! A little misty to start, but that soon burnt off as we rode up through the trees to our 1st photo stop. Onwards to coffee in a small village which has a spectacular back drop of the Picos mountains. Of course we did the obligatory visit to the bear and then onto the famous deer you would see in most mentions of biking in the Picos. Onwards to our lunch stop at a lovely out of the way guest house, which again has wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. A brilliant days riding which ended with fantastic meal at our hotel and talk of next year's tours!
