Norway 🇳🇴 & The Arctic Circle Tour Day 18. Our last ride in Norway before catching our ferry back to Denmark was a little damp, but still some amazing back roads to be ridden. The Norwegians really do know how to build a road, despite the wet weather the tarmac still inspires confidence, with no sign of a pothole anywhere the ride was still excellent. 4 hour ferry crossing back to Denmark and straight to our hotel, where we had a lovely meal of reindeer followed by beef brisket. Length of Denmark to ride tomorrow, 🤞for clear skys as we continue our journey back towards home.

Norway 🇳🇴 & The Arctic Circle Tour Day 17. A cooler start to the day but dry as we left the Lillehammer region, a short ride before we turned off the E6 to the back roads through the Valdres Nature Park, watching out for sheep and cows that like to frequent the centre of the road, just to make things a little more interesting as you come around a corner! Through a few small towns and then into the Telemark region for more brilliant roads, before reaching our hotel for the evening, our last in Norway. Ferry back to Denmark tomorrow, but not before a mornings ride that continues through Telemark.

Norway 🇳🇴 & The Arctic Circle Tour Day 16. Clear blue sky's again this morning as we continued our journey south, past Trondheim on the E6, past the Dovrefjell–Sunndalsfjella National Park, turning off after our lunch stop to travel through the Rondane National Park. The road through parts of the park have recently been resurfaced, with pitch black tarmac which was reminiscent of a scalextric set from our youth, with a perfect yellow centre line dividing the 2 sides of the road, curving left and right dipping and rising as if we had just set up our own personal perfect road to ride on our living room carpet, back in the day. Last coffee stop done and it was a short ride back on the E6 to reach our hotel near Lillehammer, after another brilliant day of riding in Norway. Let's hope the weather continues to be kind for our last full days ride in the amazing country.

Norway 🇳🇴 &The Arctic Circle Tour Day 15. Glorious weather greeted us as we packed our bikes to continue our journey down the FV17 and the forecast was promising the same for the whole day. We took our last Norwegian ferry of the tour and continued our ride south back to the more populated part of central Norway.

The elusive moose was spotted by our tour leader in a field just by the main road, quick stop and it turned out that there were 2 within 50 yards of us, not sure the photos do the experience justice, as it was a bit of a rush to get gloves off, phone out and snap away, before they disappeared into the bushes.

Smooth roads, with a mix of sweeping bends and tighter corners, could this be the best days riding on tour? Difficult one to call, but some our seasoned regulars who have done numerous tours with us already were heard to comment that Norway offers some of the best roads they have ever ridden. So the jury is still out on which was the best day and we still have 3 more days of riding in Norway to do!!
