A real Autumn week. Colourful leaves falling. At least we are not rained out here and it's not cold yet!!! Not into the darker evenings yet either. Where did 2021 go so fast?

Unexpectedly quiet times here. Usually a busy September but this year almost everyone seems to be staying near or
at the coast now weather is good and kids are back at school. Ticking over with last few bookings this season. ....unless .......!

Visitors are back - 2 busy weeks since lock down was lifted for caravans and self catering. We had the paddock and wild life to ourselves and now to share - fox, goldfinches, nesting green woodpeckers, many blackbirds and thrushes, long tailed t**s, blue and great t**s, dunnocks, swallows, hare, badger and deer including the fawn born under a bush by the pony paddock on 8.3.21, now running with the herd of 4 deer! Sunshine and local Pub open for outside drinks. Is this a new 'normal'? Enjoy whilst we can. Come and share!

Here we are - lock down again. The site is now closed for winter. No sooner am I lamenting the swallows departure early October than we are enjoying the Arctic swans feeding on maize crop leftovers. Their arrival was 10 days earlier this year and very welcome. The noise and honking is heartwarming and awesome to see them in flight overhead. Common crane and little egrets here too. More to enjoy on our dog walks. A morale boost during this strange time but nature gives us hope. Spring and better times will come. Be safe.

Its is strange having no visitors to share our touring park but we get to enjoy the the flowering shrubs, heathers and Spring bulbs. Considering it an enforced holiday for us and lucky to have the green space despite the time upkeeping it all. Hope to see you all again. Be safe
