Following the sad news of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, her state funeral will take place on Monday 19th September, which has been announced as a national holiday. Therefore, the business will be closed and normal service will resume again on Tuesday the 20th September. Our thoughts and prayers are with King Charles lll and all members of the royal family during this very sad time đź’”

We will be closed from 1:00pm on December 24th and shall re-open for business on Wednesday 29th December for the hours 8:00am to 4:00pm. We will re-open for normal trading hours of 8:00am-6:00pm on Tuesday 4th January 2022. The team at MOT City wish you all a very safe and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Due to our recent expansion we are seeking a qualified and highly skilled vehicle mechanic to join our friendly team. As a skilled vehicle mechanic you will be responsible for repairing and servicing motor vehicles of all types in accordance with Company standards in a safe and efficient manner. Ability to work on own initiative with the support from staff as required with good customer service and the ability to interact with customers.
· You will be required to carry out repairs and servicing to the highest standards and to the appropriate specification
· You will be required to test and diagnose faults
· You will be required to examine vehicles, recognise and provide a written report on vehicle defects or systems of impending failure
· You will be required to ensure all work is carried out observing safe working practices of yourself and others
Must hold a valid driving license
Hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 5.30pm and one Saturday a month 8am – 1pm
Salary depending on experience
We provide all relevant PPE
Requirements – Valid City & Guilds Automotive or equivalent
Valid driving license

Our Story

Founded in 1995 by Sean Bradbury, MOT City began life as an MOT centre, but soon began to expand in response to our clients’ requirements. We now offer servicing, repairs and full vehicle diagnostics.

In March 2020 MOT City celebrated its 25th birthday. We believe this is down to the fact we put our customers first. Sean’s goal in setting up MOT City was to create a friendly approachable team who provide customers with an exceptional experience from start to finish. Until now most of our business has been through referrals, which speaks to just how highly we value the customer service side of our business.

Our technicians and mechanics are all highly skilled and undertake regular training to ensure they are able to offer the best quality in repairs and servicing. More than this though, they are passionate about their work. Many of our team members have been with us for ten years or more. We believe they can’t provide exceptional service to you if they’re not happy in their work, so we aim for smiles all round.

Whether your car needs a routine service or MOT, or you have a more serious problem you need resolving, we are confident we’ll be able to help you. Everyone is dedicated to ensuring you become our next satisfied customer.
