Don’t let the darker evenings stop your progress!

With everyone getting back into their usual routines, riding doesn’t have to take a back seat.

We run group lessons for both adults and children on weekday evenings, Tuesday to Friday, giving you plenty of opportunities to keep riding, progressing and spending time with your favourite horses and ponies.

And with our floodlit arenas, the darker autumn and winter evenings don’t mean the riding has to stop.

Whether you’re working towards your next goal or simply love your time in the saddle, keep your riding going all year round.

Want a career working with horses?

It’s not too late to enrol at Court Equestrian this September. We still have places available on our City & Guilds Equine courses – Levels 1, 2 and 3.

Our full-time courses combine hands-on experience with horses and classroom-based learning, helping students develop practical skills, knowledge and confidence.

Students who have not already achieved their GCSE English and Maths will study these alongside their equine qualification.

Courses are fully Government funded for eligible students and are suitable for:

* 16–18 year olds
* Home-educated students from age 14/15 who have been home educated for at least six months
* Students with an EHCP, subject to individual assessment and approval

Court Equestrian has been delivering these courses since 2012, in partnership with Abingdon & Witney College.

Open to everyone who rides or keeps their horse at Court Equestrian — all ages welcome!

Come along and have some beautiful photographs taken with your favourite horse or pony, whether that’s your own, a loan pony or one of the lovely riding school ponies.

£30 per session

✨ 20-minute photoshoot
✨ 5 professionally edited digital images included
✨ Private online gallery
✨ Option to purchase additional images

Ridden photographs may also be possible, so please bring your riding hat if you’d like the option of having some photos taken in the saddle.

If you’re hoping to use a particular riding school horse or pony, please let me know and I’ll try my best to make it happen! (Please have a second choice in mind, just in case.)

Summer Camp at Court Equestrian

Our camps have been a huge success this summer, with so many brilliant memories made along the way!

From lots of time in the saddle, hacking, handy pony and plenty of fun around the yard, to some fantastic demonstrations and talks from our equine professionals. Our campers have had the chance to learn from the vet, farrier, equine dentist and equine chiropractor, giving them a real insight into everything that goes into caring for our horses and ponies.

And the summer fun isn’t over yet!

We still have a few spaces available on our non-residential Summer Camp starting Monday 24th August, suitable for riders aged approximately 4–17 years of all abilities.

If you’d like to squeeze in a few more horsey memories before the summer is over, we’d love to have you join us.

Summer Camp Learning

As part of our non-residential Summer Camp, we welcomed Sam Smith, equine chiropractor, to Court Equestrian for a fantastic demonstration.

Sam explained why horses and ponies may benefit from chiropractic treatment and showed our riders some of the signs of relaxation to look out for, including licking, chewing and yawning.

Our four-legged “paid actor” performed perfectly on cue, which resulted in plenty of laughter!

A big thank you to Sam for giving our riders such an interesting and informative session. It’s great to give them the opportunity to learn more about the care that goes into keeping our horses and ponies happy and healthy.

August at Court Equestrian

There’s plenty to look forward to this month at Court Equestrian.

This August we have Fundays, Tuesday Hacks, our Non-Residential Summer Camp, a vet talk on worming and parasite control, as well as all of our regular riding lessons.

Whether you’re joining us for a one-off activity or riding every week, we’d love to see you at the yard.

All lessons and activities can be booked through our online booking system. If something you’d like to book is full, it’s always worth checking back for cancellations or getting in touch with us directly.
