British passport to increase -from the 27th March the cost is set to increase by up to 17%. An adult passport will go from £72.50 to £85. You can renew your passport when you have 9 months left on your passport and that 9 months is carried over. So if your passport is due to expire before the 27th December 2018 it might be worth you renewing it before the 27th March 2018. The biggest increase will be when you apply by post. To save money renew your passport online.
