An extract from The Leader about our tours! Written by Claire Pierce...
'On the night, we met our hosts and fellow hunters outside Wrexham Visitor Information Centre.
What followed was a genuinely fun, interesting and surprising event, all with a wickedly sinister twist.
Our hosts, Elliw and Morgue (short for Morgana), proceeded to take us from location to location, with a dark tale to tell at each spot.
The playful duo regale stories of the people and places that have left their mark - and possibly spirit - on the streets of Wrexham.
From centuries old dastardly deeds to more up-to-date tragedies, each stop informs and entertains.
There are plenty of chances to participate, and my advice is don't be shy, it definitely adds to the whole experience.
The tour heads down alleyways and side streets, getting a glimpse of parts of the city centre you might otherwise miss.
Elliw and Morgue for sure knew their stuff, and a prop or two helped bring their yarns of the dead to life.
Even a sudden change of location, forced upon us by a very loud and high pitched alarm, didn't phase these creative professionals. If anything, their ability to weave it onto the tour was an amusing and unexpected bonus.
It's no secret the tour takes in the magnificent St Giles' Parish Church, and this section was a real highlight for us.
From the stories to the location, and spookily timed bells, it was simply perfect.'
