This is the Indian Canyons near Palm Springs. It is the ancestral home to the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians.
Itโ€™s a collection of three canyons. Murray Canyon, Andreas Canyons and Palm Canyon. Thereโ€™s a road through most of it so you can hike or drive to some gorgeous view points if itโ€™s scorching! The rangers were actually stopping hikers when we were there due to the extreme heat so do NOT forget water.
Find it on your sat nav at Indian Canyons Toll Gate, 38520 S. Palm Canyon Dr., Palm Springs
Expect to pay around $12 for an adult to enter and itโ€™s worth every cent.

Point Dume is near Malibu and a great stop for Marvel fans on a Californian road trip. Thereโ€™s limited parking so be prepared for a drive around if thereโ€™s no spaces and a short walk to see the point but as thereโ€™s little parking it is NOT busy so you can really take it in. The beach below is like an abandoned paradise!

Itโ€™s hot and sticky in England right now. A Californian ocean breeze would be just the medicine.
This is Venice beach on Californian coast which is a perfect stop to gather some local art and to watch some skateboarders or maybe even spot someone famous at muscle beach.

The best place to see the Hollywood sign is Lake Hollywood Park.

Itโ€™s free, you can drive there, thereโ€™s a peaceful park to stroll, vendors to grab a drink and viewpoint to get THAT photo.

BUT hereโ€™s the must knows- you can only park for 15 minutes (at the moment do check what the restrictions are when there) , you must park in the designated areas as it is patrolled regularly, if you donโ€™t drive you can easily get a taxi and enjoy a stroll up closer if you prefer!
