Despite the creeping light pollution from York & surrounds (10-12 miles away) we still get the occasional Northern Lights show and always a great view of the Plough. Last nights was subtle, yet still visible without the help of the smart phone.

So, the Northern Lights appeared in the skies above The Brush and Boot the other day and we missed it!! Fortunately a keen amateur photographer in the village on the other side of the valley caught it and sent the images to Auntie Beeb. Otherwise we would have never known. It would appear we left our lights on though!

Well it’s that time of year again. The beautiful Bluebells in the wood behind the cottage are responding to the lovely weather and because of a cancellation we actually have a week available from Friday 22nd April, so if you or anyone you know is a big Bluebell fan and fancies a break up here “on t’ ill”, please get in touch. This just happened when I took the dog out for a walk, having waited around all day for a particularly blustery wet Autumn day to relent a bit....well worth the wait I think 🙂 🌈
