As small business owners, we very grateful that hospitality will reopen. It's been a very long time since we were able to welcome guests and we're delighted that many people are booking a break in York. Just a plea though to some people who are taking advantage of the leniant cancellation policies in place... PLEASE don't stack your choices, booking several places then deciding which one to choose and cancelling or just not show up at the others... Be it in accommodation or restaurants or pubs. We've struggled for so long and really rely on the customers to do the right thing! Good luck everyone... bring on the great British Summer!

We're open for business!

We're reopening! No one has stayed in the Loft since March but we're ready and looking forward to welcoming guests. We are tightening up our already rigorous cleaning protocol to ensure safe and happy visitors. Please consider lovely York for your next break away!

Whilst we're all doing our bit and staying put, we are looking to the future to see how we can safely open our apartment to welcome guests again. We have deep cleaned everything already and our usual high standard will be maintained going forward. The apartment block is very quiet, with a large entrance, few tenants and so is ideal for maintaining social distancing. Although many attractions and restaurants are closed, there's still plenty to keep you occupied. If you know York, you will remember the pleasure of just wandering around this ancient city with the city walls, magnificent Minster and the atmospheric cobbled streets. Very many restaurants in the city centre are offering pick up or delivery, so although eating out might be problematic, getting gourmet food (or junk, for that matter) won't be a problem... Just order and eat in.. the apartment is very comfortable! I would also like to lend a hand if needed with shopping. My idea is that you send me your list before your stay, I will pick up your groceries and stock the apartment with your chosen goodies. After all, the apartment has a fuuly loaded kitchen with everything you might need.
That's it folks, let's hope the small steps we're taking on this journey will continue successfully and we hope you might consider York for your future getaway. Please do contact me directly for our discounted prices.

This is our new place! It is a two bedroom apartment in the centre of York...it can sleep six people very comfortably. It has two bathrooms, a fully loaded kitchen and a location that cannot be beat! It is less than 2 minutes from The Shambles and the market, steps away from the river and the Grand Opera House Theatre is literally around the corner. Popeshead Court is a converted warehouse and so The Loft is on the top floor (there is a lift) with vaulted ceiling, exposed beams and fantastic roof top views over the city with the Minster rising above them. It is very calm and peaceful and yet steps away from the hustle and bustle of this great city. Drop me a line or call me if you have any questions!
