Researchers from the University of Chester are focusing their efforts on saving the Grenada Dove, considered one of the rarest birds in the world, through in-depth scientific analysis and conservation planning.
The Grenada Dove, found only on the Caribbean island of Grenada, is believed to number just 160 mature individuals and faces threats from habitat loss, invasive predators, disease, and hurricane-related declines.
Dr Wise, from the University of Chester’s School of Natural Sciences, said: “Urgent action is needed to protect the Grenada Dove and prevent its extinction.
