სტეფანწმინდის ხედით ტკბობისას, მისი სახელის წარმოშობის ისტორია გამახსენდა და გაზიარება გადავწყვიტე 🧐
ლეგენდის მიხედვით, თავდაპირველად ხალხი ყუროს ვაკეზე სახლობდა.
ვინმე ღრუბელა ფიცხელაური დაქვრივების შემდეგ ბერობას შედგომია სტეფანეს სახელით. ის ჯერ ბეთლემის, შემდეგ კი ყუროს გამოქვაბულში მოღვაწეობდა.
ერთ დღესაც ყუროდან ტალახის ნიაღვარი წამოსულა. სტეფანე ბერს ზარების რეკვით გაუფრთხილებია ხალხი, რომელსაც გახიზვნა მოუსწრია. მოვარდნილმა ტალახმა სოფელი წალეკა. ხალხმა ახალი დასახლება გააშენა და ბერის საპატივცემულოდ სტეფანწმინდა დაარქვა 🗻

As I enjoyed the view of Stephantsminda (in English St. Stephan, Kazbegi is another name of this place) , I remembered the history of its origin and decided to share it 📚
According to a legend, people originally lived in the valley of Kuro.
After becoming a widow, a certain Ghrubela Pitskhelauri took monastic vows under the name Stephen. Firstly he lived in the Bethlehem cave, and then in the cave near Kuro.
One day, a mudflow came down from Kuro. Stephen the Monk warned the people by ringing the bells and they were able to escape. The mudflow washed away the village. The people built a new settlement and named it Stephantsminda in honor of the monk 🔎
