🇬🇪 26 maja – Dzień Niepodległości Gruzji 🇬🇪
🇬🇪 26 maja 1918 roku Gruzja ogłosiła niepodległość, tworząc pierwszą nowoczesną republikę demokratyczną na Kaukazie. Był to krótki, ale niezwykle ważny okres budowania państwowości, który zakończyła inwazja bolszewicka w 1921 roku.
Po dziesięcioleciach w składzie Związku Radzieckiego Gruzini nie przestali dążyć do wolności. W 1991 roku kraj ponownie odzyskał niepodległość, nawiązując do dziedzictwa republiki z 1918 roku.
Dzień Niepodległości to nie tylko święto państwowe, ale także symbol wytrwałości, walki o suwerenność i przywiązania do własnej historii.
🇬🇪 May 26 – Georgia’s Independence Day
On May 26, 1918, Georgia declared its independence, establishing the first modern democratic republic in the Caucasus. Although this period was short-lived and ended with the Soviet invasion in 1921, it became a cornerstone of the nation’s identity.
After decades under Soviet rule, Georgians continued their pursuit of freedom, ultimately restoring independence in 1991 and reaffirming the legacy of the 1918 republic.
Today, Independence Day honors the resilience, courage, and determination of the Georgian people to preserve their sovereignty, culture, and national identity.
