This isn’t a tour we designed. It’s the life we were born into.Every winter, our family and our horses live in the arid, desert plains of Vashlovani. But when June arrives, the heat begins to rise, and the mountains call us home.
This is Transhumance—our ancient Tushetian tradition. It’s the way my ancestors lived, and it’s the way I live today. We don’t transport our horses in trucks. We ride them.
On start of June our team will gather over 80-100 of our semi-wild horses. Together, we will drive the herd across 260 kilometers of wild Georgian landscape, pushing them up into the high alpine pastures of Tusheti National Park for the summer.
We will cross the sun-baked wine valleys of Kakheti. We will face the mud, the rocks, and the unpredictable weather of the legendary Abano Pass, climbing nearly 3,000 meters into the clouds. The horses know the way—their instincts are sharp, their hooves are sure, and their spirit is completely free. When you hear the thunder of 80 pairs of hooves echoing through the mountain canyons, it changes something inside you.
We are opening up a few saddles for advanced riders to join our team on this migration. Special offers just for June 1-9&11-19
You won’t be a tourist on this trip; you will be part of our crew. You will ride with us, camp under the stars with us, and eat the traditional, hearty food my family prepares to keep our strength up. It is physically exhausting, raw, and beautifully unpredictable. But if you have the riding skills and the grit to handle it, I promise to show you the true, unfiltered heart of the Caucasus.
This is our lifestyle. Come live it with us this June, DM us for more details and special offers 🤩
