Hello, my name is Chris and I’m from Germany. Since the 1st of October 2016 I am in Georgia for a twelve month European Volunteer Service in the city Rustavi. I really enjoy my time in Georgia, the country is very beautiful and even though it is small you have a lot of variation which means you don’t have to travel far to find interesting sights. The people in Georgia are very nice and welcoming and even if you don’t speak their language they will invite you and try to help you. Georgia is also a great country to travel by hitchhiking, it is a fast way to get somewhere for free and it can be a lot of fun because you meet many different people. Another thing I really like about Georgia is the food, the Georgian Cuisine has a lot to offer and even though Georgians love meat there is also a big variation of food for vegetarians. Although georgian cheese might not be liked by everyone because it has often a very salty taste, I am pretty sure that all people will enjoy georgian wine. Georgia is a gorgeous country and everyone who has the chance to come here should do it, because it will be an awesome experience.
