Located just over 100 km from Tbilisi, Sighnaghi is a picturesque 18th-century town often called the "City of Love" due to its popularity among wedding couples. Once an important trading center along the Great Silk Road, the town was protected by a wall with 23 watch towers and 6 gates, with remnants of this ancient fortification still visible today. Its charming streets are lined with colorful houses, while the old city wall offers stunning views of the Alazani Valley and the Great Caucasus Mountains. The Sighnaghi Museum, home to works by the famous Georgian painter Niko Pirosmani, adds an artistic touch to the town’s rich cultural heritage. Sighnaghi is also known for its vibrant cafes and cozy restaurants, making it a delightful place where history, art, and nature seamlessly blend.

🎉Good news FINALLY!
Today Georgia made a decision to open border to Lithuania🇱🇹, Latvia🇱🇻 Estonia🇪🇪, France🇫🇷, Germany🇩🇪. Residents flying directly from those countries won't be subject to mandatory 14-day quarantine.

❗️Residents from other EU countries, that have opened borders for Georgia, will be allowed to enter Georgia but will have to spend 14-days in quarantine and cover all the related costs themselves.

❓Georgia keeps borders closed for those EU countries, that have not opened borders for Georgia yet (Austria, Belgium, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Malta, Finland, Hungary).

✈️The Government Spokesperson said Georgia reached an agreement with Lufthansa, the largest German airline, to conduct Munich-Tbilisi flights twice a week starting from August. Government is also holding talks with AirFrance and AirBaltic. No other information is available on timeline.

🇬🇪🥳👉The Georgian capital of Tbilisi has been named the safest place to travel in Europe in 2020 amongst the cities selected by European Best Destinations, a travel website developed to promote culture and tourism in Europe.

🌴🐳🌊The travel website has also selected Georgian Black Sea town of Batumi among the destinations least affected by COVID-19.

👉The website notes that as Georgia is reopening its borders to travellers on July 1, it is also implementing a series of health measures to protect both its citizens and travellers ‘for a safe and relaxing holiday’.⬇️⬇️⬇️

Borders of some European countries are opening to travellers now like Greece, Italy, Portugal,...but you wonder where to go on holiday in Europe for safe holidays in countries and regions less affected by coronavirus?

🌿🌼🌻🌴Summer at Dadiani Palace.

The Dadiani Palace museum, established in 1840 by Prince of Mingrelia David Dadiani, is one of the oldest museums in Caucacus region.
🏰The Palace is located in town of Zugdidi - the administrative centre of very characteristic Samegrelo region.
👉Interesting! There are only four genuine death masks of Napoleon Bonapart known to exist – and one was housed in the museum of Dadiani Palace. Over the years experts said there were many stories of how the death mask might have arrived in Georgia. However according to the most popular version, this death mask of Napoleon was inherited by Napoleon’s nephew Achille Murat; the grandson of Caroline Bonaparte and Marshal Joachim Murat. When Napoleon’s nephew grew older, he married one of the daughters of the Dadiani family, the Princess of Samegrelo Salome Dadiani, moved to Georgia and brought with him all of his family relics.
