Believe us when we say that it’s totally impossible to resist this freshly baked, still-warm-from-the-oven, local bread called tonis puri, or shotis puri. OK, so the ingredients are pretty basic – flour, water, salt and yeast. And it’s been baked the same way here for centuries, in a special oven called a tone. The most tempting, crunchy part of this bread is always salty, since the walls of the tone are sprinkled with salty water. And we always loose the battle against the temptation to take a sneaky bite of freshly baked goodness on our way home. That's what we call the best street food in Tbilisi!

Extra tip: for the most impressive shots check the sunset time and head to the Chronicle of Georgia (History Memorial of Georgia), which is considered a hidden gem in Tbilisi. This 16-pillar monument, designed by prominent architect Zurab Tsereteli, is located near Tbilisi sea. Hilltop position gives exciting views to the city and its surroundings.
