Day 1:
A sightseeing walking tour of Tbilisi, including visits to major landmarks such as Rustaveli Avenue, Anchiskhati Basilica (6th century), Sioni Cathedral (11th century), Metekhi Church (13th century), a walk through Old Tbilisi, Narikala Fortress, the sulfur baths district, etc. Duration – about 3 hours. Free evening.
Day 2:
A trip to Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia (5th century BC), including a city tour and a visit to Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century). Optional visit to the Stalin Museum in Gori and a tour of Uplistsikhe cave city (13th century BC).
Day 3:
An excursion along the Georgian Military Highway, including visits to Jvari Monastery (6th century), Ananuri Fortress by the scenic Zhinvali Reservoir, and the Shio-Mgvime Monastery (6th and 12th centuries).
Day 4:
A trip to Kakheti, including a visit to Sighnaghi with a view of the Alazani Valley, wine tasting at a local winery, and a visit to the Bodbe Monastery and the tomb of Saint Nino (4th century).
