Today, we celebrate Georgia's independence and the unwavering spirit of the Georgian people. On May 26, 1918, Georgia declared its independence, marking the beginning of a nation built on freedom, dignity, and resilience.
"The right to be governed by those of their own choosing, the right to speak their own language, to worship as they choose, to say and write freely whatever they wish."
This independence is not merely a political eventβit is a testament to human rights, cultural pride, and the indomitable will of a people who refused to surrender their identity. As we mark 108 years of Georgian freedom, we honor the sacrifices of those who came before and celebrate the achievements of modern Georgia.
Let us stand together in solidarity with Georgia and cherish the values of freedom and self-determination. π
