Offering of libation is very common in Ghana . It is a ritual. During the offering of libation, the elder calls first the Almighty, the supreme power behind all creations. Next he will call the ancestors. children in Ghana are made to acknowledge the existence of Almighty God as well as the ancestors . Right from childhood, children are taught to respect and help strangers they might be helping a dead ancestor disguise in a human form .

Children are taught further to be kind to the disabled for some ancestors can take this form.
