What we witnessed during this citizenship ceremony was more than a moment. It was more than just adding a passport to your collection.

It was a reflection of something much deeper. 150+ diasporans chose to answer their call and deepen ties to Ghana 🇬🇭

Thank you to the Diaspora Affairs Office of the President .ghana for playing a major role in making this dream become reality. ❤️

So many in the diaspora feel a pull towards Africa but don’t always have the space, guidance, community or even finances to explore it.

The silence as they stand in truth, heavy. Our ancestors endured the unimaginable so that we could live, love, build, and return.

At BRAAFIË Tours, we don’t just visit sites—we honor stories, we pray, we cry, and we reconnect. For many in the diaspora, running our fingers along the walls of historical sites and letting our toes sink into the warm sand of the beaches in Ghana is a sacred homecoming.

Happy Black History Month family!!!

Standing at Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s museum, the ancestors feel close. The ones who crossed oceans in chains, who reimagined culture that was forcibly beat out of them, the ones whose prayers, resistance, and vision made it possible for us to stand here freely—rooted, grateful, and remembering.

Black History Month isn’t just about the past. It’s also about honoring African American contributions that are shaping the present and future. It is about recognizing that OUR story didn’t begin in bondage—that for many of us, it began in Africa.

This is my first post back after a long pause, and it feels right to return with gratitude, remembrance, and reverence. For those who came before me… I see you. I thank you from the deepest depths of my soul! I carry you with me daily and may your resilience, love and culture never be forgotten. 🖤🌍✊🏾

This young boy showed me around Pelungu village with the utmost confidence and sweetness! If you know me, you know that children are my absolute kryptonite!

In Pelungu village, hand making shea butter has been a means of income for hundreds of years.

The process is LONG, yet so rewarding for the women, as it’s a huge part of their economy in the village.
