As part of our efforts and plans to pay more attention to girls and women empowerment projects this year, we supported "Rights and Rain" in providing Sanitary pads to about 150 girls in the Drobo traditional area in Ghana, some of whom are now seeing pads for the first time. The aim of this donation was to create more awareness on period poverty and also introduce these young ladies to healthy menstrual practices. Both single use and reusable pads were given to the girls. In the bid to make it more sustainable, the girls were thought soap making so they can sell and generate some money to be able to afford sanitary pads. The smile on the faces of these young girls speaks enough of how happy they are to get this opportunity. Period poverty is real. We want to say a big thank you to everyone who supports VSID, continue to patronize our services so we can be able to support great projects lead by amazing young people and also big up to team "Rights and Rain" for coming up with this amazing project. are breaking the limits. End period poverty now. future is female. .
