UK 🇬🇧 Visitors VISA and all you need to know;

If a visitor to the UK is being fully sponsored by someone already in the UK, they generally do not need to provide their own proof of funds, but the sponsor must demonstrate they have sufficient financial means to cover the visitor's trip. Here's what is typically required:

Documents from the Sponsor:
1. Letter of Invitation: A formal letter explaining the purpose of the visit, the relationship with the visitor, and confirmation of sponsorship (e.g., covering accommodation, travel, and other expenses).

2. Proof of Financial Means:
- Recent bank statements (usually 3–6 months).
- Pay slips (if employed) or proof of self-employment income.
- Tax documents (like P60s or equivalent).

3. Proof of Accommodation:
- Evidence of where the visitor will stay (e.g., tenancy agreement, property ownership documents, or a letter from a landlord permitting the stay).

4. Sponsor's Immigration Status:
- Copy of the sponsor's passport, visa, or residence permit, proving they are legally in the UK.

Documents from the Visitor:
Even if the visitor is fully sponsored, they might still need to provide:

- Evidence of Relationship: Proof of the relationship with the sponsor (e.g., photos, correspondence, or family documents).

Requirements:

1. Valid Passport: Ensure your passport is valid for the entire period of your stay in the UK.

2. Proof of Employment: This is very important, you will need to show your employment letter, upgrade letter if any, and a “letter of Leave” from your employer stating how long your leave period is going to be, and this time frame should coincide with when you intend to make your travel to the UK and the time you need to be back to resume your work. This is very important. You will also need your payslip both as proof of employment and proof of fund.

3: Proof of Funds: Demonstrate you can support yourself financially during your stay. This can include:
• Bank statements (last six months)
• Payslips or proof of employment
• Sponsor’s financial documents (if someone else is funding your trip)

4: Accommodation Details: Provide details of where you’ll be staying, such as:
• Hotel bookings

Today let's talk about the Schengen visa.
The Schengen visa allows people from non- European Union or allied countries a short stay of up to 90 days.
There are 26 countries within the Schengen zone today.
The Schengen visa comes in three forms:
1. Single - entry. It allows you entry into the Schengen area only once.
2. Multiple- entry. It allows you several visits to the Schengen area as long as the visa is valid.
3. Airport transit. It allows you to get to another country through an airport in the Schengen area.

The cost of a Schengen visa is 90 Euros for adults and 50 Euros for children aged between 6 and 12 years.
Requirements of a Schengen visa.
1. An application form
2. A recent passport size photograph
3. A valid passport
4. Travel medical insurance
5. Application fee
6. A cover letter explaining the purpose of one's visit.
7. A three month bank statement providing financial means.
For children, their applications must be signed by their parents or legal guardians..
