Gadao-Adossa (cutlass festival): The word Gadao-Adossa is a common saying that refers to two important Tem festivities, Gadao and Adossa for the Didaoure population, which is predominantly Muslim.
The Gadao is considered the most famous festival in Togo. It is observed to express gratitude to the ancestors for the abundance of crops. The Traore, Toure, Cisse, and Fofana clans, all residents of Didaouré, perform Adossa, a cutlass dance. It is celebrated in the month of March by the people of Sokode.
Gelede Festival:\nIn March, one of the notable festivals celebrated in Benin is the Gelede Festival which takes place in Cové, focusing on celebrating female elders with dancing, singing, and drumming; this period is considered the low season in Benin with milder temperatures and lower prices.
Papa Nantwi Festival: The Papa Nantwi festival is an annual festival celebrated by the people of Kumawu in the Sekyere East district in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, in the month of March every year. It is a cultural festival commemorated by all Ashantis though the cultural events take place at Kumawu.
Gologo festival:The Gologo festival, also known as the Golib festival, is a major holiday in Ghana that takes place in March and April. It is celebrated by the Talensi people of the Upper East Region. The festival is a time to ask the gods for protection, rain, and a good harvest.
