DUTIES
• Responsible for the day-to-day running of the Accounts Department in the Tema Office of the company
• Prepare journal entries
• Reconcile the accounts of individual clients at Tema
• Submit monthly performance reports to the Finance Manager at the Head Office
• Develop and implement effective cost control measures within the Tema branch
• Ensure that valid proforma and invoices are submitted before items are purchased and valid receipts obtained for the items in Tema.
• Responsible for the preparation of budgets and forecasts for the Tema branch.
• Administer accounts receivable and accounts payable in Tema.
• Prepare weekly bank reconciliations for the Tema branch.
• Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts for the Tema branch.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for the Tema branch.
• Responsible for month and year end adjusting entries for the Tema Branch.
• Responsible for the co-ordination of the budget expenditures of the Tema branch.
• Responsible for the preparation and submission of bills to clients
• Responsible for the co-ordination of the expenditure on various projects in Tema.
• Liaise with key suppliers in Tema to ensure that the Company gets value for money in all transactions.

REQUIREMENTS
• Should possess an HND or Degree in Accounting or ACCA II or similar.
• Should have a minimum of One (1) year’s experience as an Account Personnel or similar role.

COMPETENCIES
• Should be attentive to details, collaborative and driven to deliver.
• Should have the ability to work in a team.
• Should be a fast learner and easily adaptable to new and changing environment.
• Should be a self-motivator
• Should be abreast with the use of Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
