Intercity STC (ISTC) was founded in 1909 as a government transportation agency to serve the demands of the national government. The State Transport Corporation was established as a legal entity in 1965 by Legislative Instrument (L.I) number 414 of the 9th of March 1965 to manage commercial passenger services. The government established a haulage division in January 1968 to handle the transport of

both dry and wet freight. Along with the passenger section, management of this was given to STC as a bulk haulage division. State Transport Company Limited, a Limited Liability Company, was later established as STC in June 1995 in accordance with Ghana's Companies Act, 1962 (Act 179). OUR VISION:
