Turkey is quite quickly becoming one of the international destinations most researched by those thinking of moving abroad to find a more affordable and better quality of life especially Africans ( Ghanaian & Nigerians).

First Step- As soon as You arrive, take your passport to the local immigration police headquarters and register your presence in the district or country and in less than no time, your residency is ready-after few processes however.
Once you become resident in Turkey you officially become liable for taxation on your Turkish income, so if you find work in Turkey and are granted a work visa you will have to pay tax which is banded from 0% up to 45% – I know u hate tax..LOL
The good news is that you’re usually taxed at source which makes it easier for you and you can make all sorts of deductions annually such as your rent, health insurance costs, some clothing,
some food and some educational expenses – a good accounting knowledge will come handy there for deductions.
For those want to pursue the entrepreneurial path , to live and work in Turkey and become self-employed, open a small business for example,
you will have to submit a tax return and you will have to make four advance payments of tax, one each quarter. These will be based on your previous year’s earnings and amount to about 15% of your net profit… don’t have that details fully.. but sha know you will pay tax.🙃
As a Ghanaian working in Turkey, you will be expected to make social tax contributions aswell just like the locals but abit higher. This will be about 5% tax on income up to a maximum limit–
NOTE! Foreigners don’t benefit from social welfare programs which you by the way contributed.
LOL! Turkey is not Canada that even go ahead to pay for your Kids welfare and education when you become a PR
Other ways to find work in Turkey is to begin looking before you get in.
If you’re a professional in a sought after industry you may be lucky enough to find a well paying job in Ankara or Istanbul – otherwise most Brits and foreign citizens living and working in Turkey are employed in the tourism or real estate industries.
