If you have immigration permissions to be in Guernsey, and are travelling back into the UK or islands, airlines, rail or ferry operators may look to check certain documentation when you are boarding.
The Guernsey Customs & Immigration Service, like the other crown dependencies, issues its own permissions and status documents. It is recommended that you carry any documentation that may prove your status.
A permission issued is valid for travel and will be in the form of one of the following:
🔸Vignette (UK Visas and Immigration sticker placed in passport)
🔸Wet ink stamp
🔸Status letter for permission under the Guernsey EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS)
Should you hold one of the above permissions and have problems when travelling, you can ask the carrier to contact the UK’s Carrier Support Hub who should be able to verify your status.
