The opportunity to go for a step back in time

From Banjul the trip begins whit at two hours relaxing trip over the rivier.

A drink is served on board. We are going on land at Juffreh, the island of

“the Flag of Freedom” and Kunt Kinthe. The srory of Kunt Kinthe is beautifully told in the book ROOTS. The “Flag of Freedom” is placed when we were freed from slavery. In the museum we will discover the story step by step. During the trip to St. James Island, if we are lucky, we see some dolphins swimming in the riviver. On the island we will visit the ruins of the fort and learn more about the history of slavery

Meet the locals! Discover the real Gambia and her friendly people
Do not miss the south of the Gambia. By jeep this adventures tour goes to the south of the coutntry. You will pass small villages like Sukuta, were we can pay a visit to the local market.
“Uncel John” is the chief of the village. He is well known fr his palm wine and firewater. Have a tastof the local specialty! We also pay a visit to a local school where you can learn about the schoolsystem in the Gambia. Afther this we headung further down to the south. We will have lunch on the beautiful Paradise Beach wer you can takea refresing dip in the ocean. Then we drive to the fisching village of Tanji, perhaps the highlight of this wonderful day. Here you will see the daily life entirely devoted to fish… an indescribable spectacle you simply must see

For those wishing to explore the “real” Gambia
Go whit this 2 day excursion fo adventurers! The First experience starts early in the morning during the crossing by ferry from Banjul to Bara. We drive east through small villages and rice fields so we get a good imresion of the authentic Gambia. On the way we visit the “Stone Circles”the only cultural monument of Gambia. Nobody knows exactly how the stones have come here and which purpose they had. In the course of the day we arrive in Georgetown, also called Jangjangbureh. A simple African camp, consisting of small mud huts. Thuswe experience how Gambians live every day.in Georgetown we take a small city tour and you will visit the local population and the slave houses. In the evening we have diner in the camp while enjoying the African ambiance. The next morning, during a dilicious breackfast and closely followd by a coupleof monkeeys, we can enjoy the sunrise whit the beautiful views. The journy continus whit a boat ride through a bautiful piece of nature whit the change of spotting crocodiles and hippos! We pass baboon island but, contrary, te name, no baboon, but mainly champanzees live.
Lunch wis served on board.

MAKASUTU (all day)
Visit the most beautiful national park of the Gambia and let predict the future
You will be picked up in the morning for a trip to the Makasutu Reserve, located on a tributary of the river Gambia. You will find many birds species, 3 species of monkeys and pygmy deer. Upon arrival will be offerd , tea, coffee or lemonade. Then will visit the wildlife museum. Experience the silence of narure during a canoe trip along the mangrove forests. During a walk trough the jungel you will meet one of the oldest Maribou’s (medicine man) in the Gambia. Let him read your palm and predict the futuere. Than we visit a palmwine farmer, he demonstrates how to climb a palm tree (like it’s nothing). Back at the camp, there will be a delicious lunch. Tast and enjoy typical Gambian dishes in the backdrop of the jungel. After lunch tere is the opportunity to connect whit the potters, wood carvers and Furniture makers who will Carry their crafts knowledge

If you want to see the most wonderfull birds, you’ve come to the right place.
Together we can go to the finest places for bird spotting. Regardless if you like walking, spotting in a hideout or just relaxing in the shadow and enjoy a cool drink, while watching some of the amazing birds of the Gambia.
