🚨BREAKING NEW
Recently, during an interview with some Western journalists in Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré was asked if he fears that what happened in Venezuela, an ally of Russia, could happen to Burkina Faso.
Traoré responded that he doesn't need Russia for his security. According to him, the only thing he needs from Russia is if Russia has any equipment to sell to him for protection. Apart from that, Traoré was blunt that the people of Burkina Faso are capable of protecting themselves from any external factors. He said they will not send their security personnel to be trained elsewhere, like other African leaders do.
“You must ensure your own security first. But if your security is ensured by foreigners, then you are weak,” he said.
To him, they will produce military equipment to protect themselves as long as they have the brains to think.
He said they have developed a system of protection only among themselves, and that is not determined by someone outside Burkina Faso.
He decried the fact that African leaders are still sending personal security guards to be trained elsewhere.
