The forest is a healing point and the lesson learned is enormous. It is interesting to know that this Mahogany tree is a tree that hold great cultural and spiritual value for the well being of our community and beyond. The Mahogany tree has the power of giving long lasting blessing to our marriage. The log can be used for local products such as bed and serve as a spiritual power to preserving marriages for centuries. It can also be used in the bathing of the newly born which believe to protect the child and give him strong and responsible adult. Hugging the Mahogany tree trunk believed to brings peace of mind and good luck to the person.

The Black Magic Tour had their first Ramadan trip ( 24-02-26) with Ian and Karen- British nationals ( ie first time in Gambia).what started as being nervous ended up with fun and laughters. Lamin Lodge was their preferred attraction, a place full of recycle activities, women empowerment initiaves and community basic tourism. At Lamin lodge they were introduced to the local oyster factory, a place where nothing go unused from the oyster shell to the creation of many natural products such as the white-wash paint, chicken feeds and also used for beauty design of pavement and walk way. We had a 2 hours boat trip to the mangrove, the sand bank/ dune in the middle of the river, and we anchored to see the local people nearby in a village called Mandaring where we found the century old tree house and a host of local activities like women gardening, fermented jungle juice production, etc .Here are some highlights of the tours.
