In recent years, there has been a systematic effort by the "Andros Routes" network (www.androsroutes.gr) to record, maintain and promote these routes. These actions have increased the number of foreign (mainly) visitors who love this form of tourism. In October 2015 The European Ramblers’ Association granted Andros΄ Paths as “Leading Quality Trails - Best of Europe”. This label hides a special system of criteria that takes care of the needs of hikers, makes the attractiveness of trails tangible and thereby guarantees a high standard. Andros is, without a doubt, an island of culture and art. Many Andriots excelled in literature and arts, with greater example that of poet Andreas Embirikos. USA, who is considered as the "father" of Information Technology (IT). Andros still pertains its rich cultural tradition, offering to the public the opportunity to visit several museums and foundations. Every summer, it hosts numerous events that attract thousands of visitors. On the island of Andros you can visit significant monasteries dating from the Byzantine period to the last years of the Ottoman Empire. Some of them have been recently renovated. All of them are of exceptional interest, as they preserve important relics. Andros is famous for its local cuisine and products. Particularly famous are the froutalia (omelette with sausages), the sweet tights (with honey, walnut and pine nuts) and the patsitsakia (baked almond kernels). H Άνδρος έχει πολλές και εξαιρετικής ποιότητας παραλίες, που ικανοποιούν όλα τα γούστα. Παραλίες για οικογένειες, πλήρως οργανωμένες και εύκολα προσβάσιμες, αλλά και παραλίες απομονωμένες. Ιδανικό νησί για πεζοπορία θεωρείται η Άνδρος, καθώς -σε αντίθεση με τα υπόλοιπα νησιά των Κυκλάδων- η ορεινή της φύση και η πληθώρα πηγών προσφέρουν μοναδικές εμπειρίες στους λάτρεις της πεζοπορίας. Ως νησί του Πολιτισμού και της Τέχνης έχει χαρακτηρισθεί η Άνδρος, και όχι άδικα. Φωτεινά πνεύματα που διέπρεψαν στα γράμματα και τις τέχνες ήταν Ανδριώτες, με κορυφαίο βέβαια τον ποιητή Ανδρέα Εμπειρίκο. Ξεχωριστή μορφή ήταν ο Θεόφιλος Καΐρης, ένας από τους μεγαλύτερους Έλληνες πνευματικούς του 19ου αιώνα. Όπως και ο Μιχάλης Δερτούζος, καθηγητής στο Μ.Ι.Τ των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών, που θεωρείται ο “πατέρας” της πληροφορικής. Πλούσια είναι και η σύγχρονη πολιτιστική παράδοση της Άνδρου, καθώς ο επισκέπτης έχει τη δυνατότητα να επισκεφθεί αρκετά μουσεία και ιδρύματα, ενώ κάθε καλοκαίρι διοργανώνεται πλήθος εκδηλώσεων, που προσελκύουν χιλιάδες επισκέπτες.
Στην Άνδρο μπορεί κανείς να επισκεφτεί αξιόλογα μοναστήρια που χρονολογούνται από τη Βυζαντινή περίοδο ως και τα τελευταία χρόνια της Οθωμανικής αυτοκρατορίας. Κάποια από αυτά έχουν ανακαινισθεί πρόσφατα. Όλα παρουσιάζουν εξαιρετικό ενδιαφέρον, καθώς σώζονται σε αυτά σημαντικά ιερά κειμήλια.
Η Άνδρος φημίζεται για την τοπική κουζίνα και τα προϊόντα της. Ιδιαίτερα διάσημα είναι η φρουτάλια (ομελέτα με λουκάνικα), τα γλυκά καλσούνια (με μέλι, καρύδι και κουκουνάρι) και τα πατσιτσάκια (ψημένη αμυγδαλόψιχα). Υπάρχουν εξαιρετικά ντόπια κρέατα και τυριά, ενώ γυναικείοι σύλλογοι φτιάχνουν ζυμαρικά, γλυκά κουταλιού και λικέρ.
