Well hidden away from the provincial road connecting Fira and Perissa, Megalochori has kept its ambiance and character for centuries now.

Built in the 17th century once the pirate raids had been eliminated, Megalochori (its name in Greek means ‘big village’) is one of the smallest villages of Santorini, though it has been constantly spreading.

The highlight is its square with plenty of choices to have a lunch or dinning, alongside with the well-elaborated bell tower which is one of the most beautiful ones on the island.

Have you ever imagined to be in a huge sofa by the beach enjoying your cocktail under the vibes of soul/reggae music.

If that’s your case, you should tryout Tranquillo bar in Perissa. It’s cocktails are superb, while the highlight of the restaurant menu it’s the vegan dishes.

Hint 1: salads are huge... no we really mean it they are HUGE like for 4-5 people and it’s definitely delicious...🤤

Hint 2: try to be there during sunset, (July-August reservations should be required).
