📍 Oberoi, Delhi – Hotel Inspection

As a travel advisor, it’s important to take the time to explore the different room categories, the restaurants and the hotel amenities, along with building a network of contacts within the industry to ensure I have first-hand knowledge when sourcing the perfect accommodation for my clients’ needs and they have the best possible experience.

The Oberoi, Delhi certainly delivered an exceptional experience, and I’m excited to now have the first-hand knowledge and connections to confidently recommend it to my clients.

I can’t wait to see them enjoy the same incredible experience for themselves!

Thank you for your hospitality Oberoi, my clients will love you 🤍

There are places you visit, and then there are places that leave a lasting impression.

A visit to the Community Kitchen (Langar) at Gurudwara Bangla Sahib in Delhi was one of the most humbling experiences of my journey so far.

Every day, thousands of people from all walks of life are welcomed with a free, freshly prepared meal, served with kindness, respect and without judgement.

The kitchen feeds a staggering 30,000 to 50,000 people daily, following a core Sikh tradition of equality and selfless service, and operates 24/7, 365 days of the year.

Watching the volunteers work together so seamlessly was inspiring. From preparing the food to serving each guest, it was a beautiful reminder that generosity doesn’t need recognition, it simply needs compassion.

Despite the intense heat inside the kitchen, no one was complaining, and the visitors remained orderly, patient and deeply appreciative.

What an extremely humbling experience and I am over the moon and extremely grateful I got to take that all in... 🙏

Making the world a better place... one meal at a time 🫶

Travel isn’t always about ticking landmarks off a list. Sometimes, it’s about witnessing humanity at its very best.

Humayun’s Tomb was one of those places that completely exceeded my expectations.

Surrounded by peaceful gardens and rich in history, it’s hard to believe this magnificent monument was built over 450 years ago. Its stunning symmetry, intricate details and beautiful red sandstone architecture make it easy to see why it’s considered the inspiration behind the Taj Mahal.

Delhi is a city of contrasts, and this was the perfect reminder that amongst the bustling streets are places where time seems to stand still.

If you’re planning a trip to India, Humayun’s Tomb is absolutely worth adding to your itinerary.

Stepping into the heart of Old Delhi at the magnificent Jama Masjid. 🕌

Built in the 1650s by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, this architectural masterpiece is one of the largest and most impressive mosques in India. From its towering minarets to the intricate sandstone and marble details, every corner tells a story of centuries of history, culture and faith.

Standing in the middle of this beautiful mosque while the energy of Old Delhi buzzes just outside its walls is something really special. The scale, the craftsmanship and the history are simply incredible.

It’s one of those places that reminds you why travel is about so much more than ticking landmarks off a list, it’s about experiencing the culture, the stories and the atmosphere that make each destination unique.

Fun fact: Shoes aren’t permitted inside, so after walking barefoot across the scorching concrete, my feet were sporting a few lovely blisters! 😂 And just when I thought I’d distract myself with a little twirl in my cape (also a requirement) for a photo… apparently that’s not allowed either.

📍 Q U T A B M I N A R | D E L H I 🇮🇳

Standing proudly in the heart of Delhi, the iconic Qutab Minar is a must see.

This UNESCO World Heritage Site rises over 72 metres into the sky and is the world’s tallest brick minaret, constructed entirely from red sandstone and marble. A remarkable piece of history and architecture that has stood for more than 800 years.

The Qutab complex is also home to fascinating ruins, intricate carvings, the famous Iron Pillar, and the beautifully crafted Tomb of Iltutmish, making it far more than just a single monument.

It’s a place where centuries of Delhi’s history come together in one unforgettable visit.

Not every Qatar Airways Business Class seat is a Qsuite… and that’s perfectly okay!

This is Qatar Airways’ classic Business Class product, and it still delivers an exceptional premium experience.

✔️ Spacious lie flat bed
✔️ Outstanding dining on demand
✔️ Attentive, award-winning cabin crew
✔️ Excellent comfort
✔️ Access to one of the world’s best airline lounges in Doha (when eligible)

While Qsuite often steals the spotlight, this cabin proves that Qatar Airways sets an incredibly high standard across its Business Class fleet. The seat is comfortable, the service is consistently world class, and the journey is one you’ll actually look forward to.

If you’re booking Qatar Airways, it’s worth knowing which aircraft and cabin you’ll be flying but don’t be disappointed if it isn’t a Qsuite. You’re still flying one of the world’s leading Business Class products.

T H E N E D | D O H A 🇶🇦

Originally built in the 1970s as the Ministry of Interior for the State of Qatar, this iconic building once served as a central government headquarters before being decommissioned, beautifully restored, and reborn as The Ned Doha in 2022.

One of the things I loved most?

The 90 guestrooms are former offices transformed into accommodation, making every room unique in both size and shape.

The Ned is also home to seven distinct restaurants and lounges, and I was lucky enough to enjoy dinner at Cecconi’s, an Italian feast that was simply outstanding. 🍝

Although the hotel was around 60% occupied, an early 6am wander meant I had much of this architectural masterpiece to myself, perfect for capturing and showcasing its incredible design.

I also had the opportunity to meet with the Sales & Marketing Manager for a hotel inspection, exploring a range of room categories and some truly stunning suites.

The outstanding hospitality and attentive service made my stay even more memorable.

Safe to say, The Ned Doha has earned a top spot on my recommendation list for clients visiting Qatar.

Now I just need to tick off the other Neds… New York, London & Washington 😉✈️

🇶🇦 D O H A | Q A T A R

Back in 2016, I remember Doha as being… well… just beige, lots of beige!

Fast forward to a 14 hour layover, and I decided to see what had changed in the last 10 years.

The colourful Mina District couldn’t have been more different. Once a working fishing port, it’s now a beautifully restored waterfront neighbourhood, with pastel buildings, cafés, restaurants, and views across the harbour that make it one of Doha’s most photogenic spots.

The only thing that hasn’t changed? The heat.

Stepping outside felt like opening an oven door well over 40°C and enough to make sightseeing an endurance sport. But despite the scorching temperatures, Mina was absolutely worth exploring and I had the whole place to myself - the heat no doubt had something to do with this 😅

You know you’re in a hot climate when the supermarket sells cups of ice.

Sometimes all it takes is a quick stopover to see a place in a completely different light.

Doha definitely deserves more than a 14 hour layover, I will be back!

📸 Considering how overheated my phone was and that I couldn’t see my screen for most of these shots, I’m suprised I managed to capture anything.

My stop at the supermarket was to purely cool down and put my phone in the fridge 🥶

Qatar Airways | Biz Class - Q Suite

The Q Suite is recognised as one of the best biz class products in the market. It features fully enclosed private suites with sliding doors, lie-flat beds, and a customizable layout that allows middle seats to combine into double beds or a four person “quad” suite.

Unlike any other business class product, you have a door for complete privacy 🤩

Each seat comes with a personalised pillow of your home city and the menus are curated by Woodcut, my favourite Sydney restaurant.

A couple of years ago, I jumped on the points bandwagon and if you’re not doing it yet, you need to start NOW!

In a short period of time, I’ve booked almost 30 international Business and First Class seats, plus a couple of domestic Business Class flights, all by knowing how to maximise points and loyalty programs.

When you engage me as your Travel Agent, I can help you do this too.

I took this flight from Perth to Doha, 11 hour duration and a cost of just $375.

But what you’re really investing in isn’t just a booking.

You’re investing in experience.

I personally stay in many of the hotels I recommend. I sleep in the beds, try the breakfasts, check out the pools, spas and service, so when I tell you a property is exceptional, it’s because I know first-hand. And if I haven’t, I can guarantee you I have researched extensively to ensure you have the best possible experience.

Online booking platforms and AI can give you options, but they can’t tell you which room to avoid, where the best sunset cocktail is, or which hotel genuinely delivers on its promises.

I can.

Because travel is more than clicking “book now”, it’s about creating experiences, maximising value, and having someone in your corner before, during and after your trip.

And that’s something you won’t find online.
