Side by side, the blumovo team together with our colleagues from Cycle Turkey rolled up their sleeves and showed what true solidarity looks like. For a full week, they work together on the islands of Nisyros and Tilos to maintain and preserve the historic trails of the Aegean.

This initiative, launched by Boat Bike Tours, took place in March 2026 in close collaboration with the local island communities and contributes to sustainable tourism, cultural preservation, and a lived sense of connection across borders.

Not only do Islandhoppers on organised MTB & Boat Tours benefit, but so do locals and visitors from around the world who want to actively experience the unique beauty of the Aegean by mountain bike or on foot.

During our stays on Tilos and Nisyros, we also had the opportunity to speak with representatives of the island communities and the Nisyros Geopark, and to raise their awareness of the need for ongoing trail maintenance.

Side by side, the blumovo team together with our colleagues from Cycle Turkey rolled up their sleeves and showed what true solidarity looks like. For a full week, they worked together on the islands of Nisyros and Tilos to maintain and preserve the historic trails of the Aegean.

Today, 15th of August, we celebrate the Dormition of the Virgin Mary — one of the most important days in the Greek Orthodox calendar. 🇬🇷✨

Across Greece, villages and islands come alive with festivals (Panigiria): traditional music, dancing, and tables overflowing with local food and wine. From Tinos and Paros in the Cyclades, to Kozani, Lesvos, Ikaria, and beyond, the whole country becomes a patchwork of joy, faith, and community.
