Well… that didn’t take long! 😂🧡

It’s my VERY first Holland America cruise, and before I could even get settled in, I already made a new friend.

Meet Grendel. 👀

He’s big. He’s orange. He has THAT smile. And I’m not entirely convinced he’s going to be a good influence on me. 🤣

But every great cruise needs a little adventure, right?

My toxic trait?

I somehow convince myself that I need a bucket-list trip every three or four months.

But then I have experiences like THIS… and honestly, can you blame me?

Imagine cruising through Alaska, surrounded by snow-covered mountains and glaciers, and then suddenly—you look out and there’s a humpback whale breaching right beside the ship.

Like…how am I supposed to stay home after experiencing that?

And whale watching is just one reason to take an Alaskan cruise.

The glaciers, the wildlife, the ports, the excursions, the scenery—every day gives you another bucket-list moment.

So yes…maybe booking another trip every few months is my toxic trait.

But Alaska?

Alaska is exactly why I’m not trying to fix it.

There was something absolutely magical about watching the sky change while surrounded by nothing but ocean. Eclipse glasses on, cruise vibes activated, and another unforgettable adventure in the books! 🧙‍♀️🌊

Gnorma’s Alaska Adventure Continues! 🚢🏔️

Well… I finally checked something HUGE off my bucket list… cruising through Alaska’s glacier country! 💙

Standing on the deck of the ship, surrounded by towering mountains and brilliant blue glaciers, was one of those moments that takes your breath away. And yes… I even heard the glacier crack before a giant piece of ice tumbled into the water! 🌊🧊

I kept my eyes peeled for whales, sea otters, bald eagles, and bears. Alaska truly feels like stepping into another world, and every turn brought another unforgettable view.

Today I traded forest trails for seaside promenades, soaking up the fresh Adriatic air and admiring the beautiful coastline. From elegant villas to stunning ocean views, Opatija is full of charm—and this little gnome is loving every minute of it! 💙

Of course, no adventure is complete without stopping to admire the flowers, wave at friendly locals, and search for the perfect tiny spot to call home (at least until the next adventure!).

✨🍷🇮🇹 GNORMA TAKES FLORENCE! 🇮🇹🍷✨

Ciao, friends! Gnorma the Gnome is exploring one of Italy’s most magical cities—Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance! 🎨🏛️

In this adventure, Gnorma discovers one of Florence’s most unique traditions: the famous wine windows (or buchette del vino). Dating back to the 1500s, these tiny openings allowed local families to sell wine directly from their homes—even during times of plague as a form of contactless service. Centuries later, many of these charming little windows are pouring vino once again! 🍷

Of course, no visit to Florence would be complete without breathtaking views of the iconic Duomo, a stroll along the Arno River, and soaking in the beauty that inspired some of history’s greatest artists.

Today she stood in awe at the mighty Colosseum, imagining gladiator battles, cheering crowds, and maybe even a tiny gnome-sized chariot race. 🏛️⚔️

She says the gelato is magnificent, the views are unforgettable, and yes… she absolutely posed like a Roman emperor for photos. 👑🍦
