From Athens to Sounion, the journey is as memorable as the destination.

Follow the coastline of Attica, the Greater Athens Region, along the Athens Riviera, where the road unfolds between the blue of the Aegean and the coastal landscape.

Pass by Lake Vouliagmeni, discover hidden bays and seaside views, and continue all the way to Cape Sounion.

At the end of the route, the Temple of Poseidon rises above the sea, one of Attica’s most iconic settings, especially as the sun begins to set.

The Region of Attica presents the first Attica Open Farm Days, taking place from 26 September to 4 October 2026.

For nine days, farms and food production units across Attica open their doors to the public, offering guided tours, local product tastings, hands-on workshops and educational activities for children and families.

Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the people behind local production and discover the journey of food from the field to the table, while exploring the agricultural and gastronomic heritage of Attica.
