🟢We are happy to announce that CRACoWi's 4th Plenary Meeting was successfully held on October 14th! This time, the consortium had the chance to travel to Ljubljana, Slovenia, and be hosted by our partner DIH Slovenije, who also organized the Cyber Day dissemination event on October 15th, bringing together project partners and external stakeholders.

The plenary meeting was organized around thematic sessions covering all project-related activities, including a technical workshop, the implementation & validation roadmap, lessons learned and planning for the project's final year, updates on standardization and certification, and of course, special focus on our communication, dissemination and capacity-building activities.

The following day, Cyber Day brought the focus to strengthening the cyber resilience of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. Several CRACoWi partners contributed their expertise, with Bureau Veritas covering regulatory requirements and SevenShift and ONEKEY showcasing the project's tools through technical demonstrations.

These two days provided a great opportunity for CRACoWi partners to strengthen their collaboration, exchange ideas, and prepare for the final and most important months of the project!

We would like to extend a special thank you to DIH Slovenije for organizing both the plenary meeting logistics and the Cyber Day event, as well as for the delightful consortium dinner!

🚀 The Mistral EU Project has officially kicked off! 🔋

On 14 October, the MISTRAL consortium gathered in Barcelona, Spain, for the project's Kick-off Meeting, marking the beginning of a 42-month journey towards advancing battery testing, reliability, and safety across Europe.

🇪🇺 Funded by the Horizon Europe programme and coordinated by Eurecat, MISTRAL brings together 18 partners from across Europe to accelerate battery validation through innovative approaches combining AI-driven methodologies, multiphysics modelling, Digital Twins, advanced virtual testing, and integrated digital platforms, while supporting the development of Digital Battery Passports.

💡 ITML is proud to be part of the MISTRAL consortium, leading Work Package 7 (WP7) – Digital Platform and Data Infrastructure.

During the meeting, Thanos Karydis represented ITML, presenting the company's expertise and activities in research and innovation, as well as introducing WP7, its objectives, planned activities, and expected contributions to the project.

Through WP7, ITML will lead the development of the project's digital infrastructure, focusing on an integrated digital platform, FAIR data management, and interoperable model exchange, while supporting Agentic AI integration and alignment with the Digital Battery Passport.

ITML at GANNDALF’s 3rd Plenary Meeting in Lisbon!

On 6–8 October, ITML joined our consortium partners for three days of training, pilot demonstrations and technical discussions focused on collaborative cybercrime investigations.

The meeting brought together technology providers and law enforcement partners to connect GANNDALF’s tools with practical investigative needs, review project progress and align on the next steps for development and validation.

🚢 SMAUG_EU Project | A Successful Journey Comes to an End!

After 3 years of collaboration, innovation, and hard work, the EU-funded SMAUG_EU project has officially reached its conclusion, marking an important milestone with its Final Review Meeting on 8 October 2026.

The review provided an opportunity to showcase the project's achievements in advancing underwater detection, maritime situational awareness, and port security through an integrated, AI-powered security management solution.

💡 ITML has actively contributed to SMAUG's success, leading the development and delivery of the SMAUG Control Portal, transforming complex maritime security information into actionable insights. Our contributions also included information security, digitalisation, multi-source data integration, and functionalities supporting autonomous and semi-autonomous underwater detection and control systems.

👏 A huge THANK YOU to all SMAUG consortium partners, and especially to our project coordinator, Juan-Román Martínez Arranz and the rest of the coordination team from Indra Group, for the coordination, trust, commitment, and wonderful cooperation throughout this journey!

As SMAUG comes to a close, we look forward to building on its achievements and exploring new opportunities to strengthen Border Management and Maritime security through innovation and collaboration.

AERO Project | Final Review Meeting

On 29 September 2026, the AERO consortium gathered in Athens, Greece, for the project's Final Review Meeting, marking an important milestone in its journey.
The meeting provided an opportunity to present the project's key achievements, technical developments, and overall results.

As WP7 leader, ITML contributed to the presentation of AERO's exploitation, impact and standardisation activities, highlighting the project's potential for long-term impact beyond its completion.

🚀 SALUS moves forward after its 2nd Plenary Meeting in Heraklion, Crete!

On 5–6 October, the SALUS consortium met at the Hellenic Mediterranean University for two days of focused technical discussions and planning for the next phase of the project.

As Technical Coordinator, ITML is coordinating the technical activities and integration efforts across SALUS, while also leading the development of a Digital Twin Engine with simulation capabilities, supporting the project’s ambition to enhance the security and resilience of IoT environments.

A key focus of the meeting was the extended discussion with the SALUS pilot owners. Going deeper into their operational scenarios helped us better understand the existing gaps, needs and challenges of each pilot, and determine how SALUS offerings can work together to address them.

ITML participated in the 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺 (𝗘𝗕𝗗𝗩𝗙) 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, held on 30 September–1 October in Galway, Ireland, representing the Horizon Europe 𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗜𝗡 project.

As a member of the 𝗕𝗗𝗩𝗔 – 𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, ITML values the opportunity to actively contribute to discussions and collaborations shaping Europe’s AI and Data ecosystem.

Our colleague 𝗗𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗦𝗶𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗶, TURING Dissemination & Communication Leader, joined the session 𝗔𝗜-𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝗣𝗶𝗽𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲’𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗪𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗜, organised by the AI-DAPT project.

From the TURING perspective, the discussion focused on 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗯𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻, combining robustness, explainability, uncertainty quantification and consistency with physical laws throughout the AI lifecycle.

🤝 The session also created a valuable opportunity to strengthen synergies and exchange perspectives with 𝗔𝗜-𝗗𝗔𝗣𝗧, 𝗣𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗢𝗥𝗔 and 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗢𝗟𝗢, contributing to the broader European discussion on trustworthy and scalable AI.

On 1–2 October, the consortium gathered in Heraklion, Crete, for the project’s Kick-off Meeting, marking the beginning of an exciting collaborative journey.

ITML is proud to take on multiple key roles in JUSTITIA, acting as Technical Coordinator, technology provider, and Communication & Dissemination Manager.We look forward to working closely with all consortium partners to turn the project’s ambitious vision into impactful results.

TORNADO EU project Plenary Meeting 3: from R&D progress to integrated robotic systems.

📍 Pilsen, Czechia | 29 September – 1 October 2026

The TORNADO consortium came together in Pilsen, for its 3rd Plenary Meeting, hosted by the University of West Bohemia (UWB).

Three days of intensive collaboration brought together the latest developments across the project, from safe robot planning, navigation and manipulation, to adaptive AI, robotic perception and human-robot interaction, and the integration of these technologies into the TORNADO robotic systems.

A key focus of the meeting was the 1st in-lab validation. The consortium reviewed the progress of the three robotic systems, their modules, testing scenarios and integration readiness, moving one step closer to demonstrating how the different technologies work together as a unified system.

The highlight came during the Integration Workshop, where the partners worked hands-on around a concrete robotic scenario: approaching an AMR and instructing it to grab an apple placed on the ground in a defined hallway.

Three days. One consortium. Multiple technologies coming together and a clear step forward towards robots that can perceive, understand, adapt and act in dynamic human environments.

A big thank you to UWB and all TORNADO partners for the productive discussions, hands-on collaboration and shared commitment to moving the project forward.
