Nothing beats the taste of home-cooked food. 🫶

Simple ingredients, traditional recipes, and the kind of flavors that instantly feel warm and familiar.

Greek food is not only about what’s on the plate — it’s about sharing, family, memories, and recipes passed down through generations. 🇬🇷

And sometimes, the best meals are the ones that taste like someone’s grandmother made them. 🤍

Would you choose home-cooked food over a fancy restaurant meal?

Simple ingredients, bold flavors, and a recipe that instantly brings a little taste of Greece to the table. ✨

Perfect with fresh bread, pita, or as part of a Greek meze. 🤍

Why this job? 🤍

For me, it has always been about so much more than just food. 🇬🇷✨

I love showing travelers the Athens I know and love — through local flavors, stories, traditions, and the people behind them. 🍴

What makes this job so special to me is the connection. Meeting people from all over the world, sharing our culture, sitting around a table together, and creating memories that stay with them long after the tour is over. 🫶

That’s why I do what I do — and why every single tour means something to me. 🤍

Kythnos — a small island just a short ferry ride from Athens, where beautiful beaches, hidden little coves, and crystal-clear waters invite you to slow down. 🌊

But what I loved most was finding those quiet, unassuming spots right by the water, enjoying good food with the sea just a few steps away. And if you’re lucky, a fresh catch of the day makes the experience even better. 🐟

A little island, simple pleasures, and the kind of peaceful moments you wish could last forever. ✨

Can a trendy new souvlaki spot in Athens beat a classic neighborhood legend? We put them to the ultimate test! 🌯🔥
Finding real, top-quality souvlaki in Athens isn’t as easy as it looks – no room for soggy fries or mass-produced meat around here!

In this video, the boys are testing a brand-new souvlaki spot (Tarzan) against an absolute staple we’ve been eating at for at least 8 years (Elvis).
Watch to see which one took the crown and got a mind-blowing 11/10 rating! 🏆

What’s your golden rule for a good souvlaki? Team spicy sauce or classic simple pork skewer?

Have you ever tried Vlyta Salata? 🌿🇬🇷

A simple Greek summer classic made with boiled amaranth greens, olive oil, lemon, and a little salt.

It may look simple, but that’s exactly what makes it so good — fresh, light, and full of authentic Greek flavor.

Vlyta is one of those dishes that truly feels like Greek home cooking: seasonal ingredients, minimal preparation, maximum taste.

Macrobiotic recipe in Crete: Dimitra’s Kitchen 🌿

What happens when macrobiotic principles meet the traditions of a proud Cretan kitchen? Something wonderfully simple and nourishing.

Dimitra welcomed us into her home to share a recipe inspired by her garden, her island, and the simple wisdom of Mediterranean cooking. Fresh greens and herbs, ripe tomatoes, onions, wholesome legumes, and generous olive oil come together in a dish that celebrates the natural flavours of Crete.

Simple ingredients, traditional wisdom, and a recipe that is anything but ordinary. 💚

Akra: A Fire-Kissed Culinary Gem in the Heart of Athens✨
What I love about Akra is its focus on seasonal, open-fire cooking—a major trend in Athens right now! My first visit in April 2025 felt like discovering a true gem. Sitting at the counter, head chef Markos was sociable, kind, confident, and precise, happily answering all our questions.🔥
1st Visit: Party of three. Perfect sourdough with olive oil, fresh ceviche, fish soup, mushroom stew with egg-lemon sauce, and “fireworks” for dessert—citrus sorbet with sweet bread and pistachio.🍋
2nd Visit: Amazing natural w**e, refreshing tomato-watermelon salad, outstanding fish stew and mussel pasta. The zucchini blossoms were missed by the service, but dessert delivered again with vanilla cream choux.🍷
3rd Visit: Group of four. Excellent sourdough as always. An accidental tomato salad turned out amazing, but the star was the creamy minced lamb pasta—a dish that takes you straight back to a Greek village! Dessert was a milk pie meets crème brûlée.🍝
4th Visit: Spring treasures—wild greens, green pies, and fresh vegetables at their peak. Solid ex*****on, though only two mains felt limiting, and I missed having more fish options. Since the menu changes daily, check with them before visiting!🌱
Akra is always fully booked, and walk-ins are rare. After four visits, I can confidently place it among my top 5 restaurants in Athens. Excited to see what comes next!⭐
