THE PARTHENON'S MOST COMPLETE VIEW IN OVER 220 YEARS 🇬🇷
For the first time in more than two centuries, the western façade of the Parthenon appears closer to its original form.
Built nearly 2,500 years ago, the iconic temple has been undergoing careful restoration since 1975. The latest phase saw new Pentelic marble blocks placed in gaps that had remained empty for generations, transforming the first view visitors see as they enter the Acropolis.
The restoration is still ongoing, but this milestone marks one of the most significant moments in the Parthenon's modern history.
