The sculpture “Discobolus” (discus thrower) right across the Panathenaic Stadium in Athens, Greece is one of three copies of the 5th century original Roman one, made by the Bulgarian-Greek sculptor Constantinos Dimitriadis (1881 - 1943) and has won a gold medal at the art competitions at the 1924 Summer Olympics.
