One of the most meaningful experiences from my time in Melbourne was visiting the Koorie Heritage Trust. 🇦🇺❤️

The experience began with a beautiful Welcome Smoking Ceremony, a traditional cultural ceremony offering a welcome to the country and creating a respectful space for visitors. Being part of this moment made the visit especially meaningful.

Located in the heart of Melbourne, the Koorie Heritage Trust is dedicated to preserving, celebrating, and sharing the culture, history, art, and stories of the Aboriginal peoples of southeastern Australia.

Walking through the exhibits was a reminder that Melbourne’s story stretches back thousands of years — long before the city we know today.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn, listen, and experience a deeper connection to the culture and history of this incredible place. 🇦🇺✨
