Next stop… Naples 🇮🇹 ➡️ Pompeii 🏛️

This one was right at the TOP of Tobi’s list! My little history buff loves the story of Pompeii, so there was no way we could dock in Naples and not try to get him there. ❤️ we could see Mount Vesuvius from our cabin window!⛰️🤩

Only problem… we hadn’t actually booked anything. 😅🤦🏽‍♀️

A quick search that morning found us a last-minute tour on Booking.com, then it was onto the train from Naples to Pompeii 🚆 — and off we went!

For a relatively short port day, we saw SO much. The ruins, streets, houses and stories he’d learned about suddenly became real right in front of him. 🥹

We’d originally considered spending the day exploring Naples itself, but the areas we saw around the port/station didn’t particularly draw us in, so Pompeii ended up being 100% the right decision for us.

One of my favourite things about travelling with the kids is getting to take something they’ve read about or learned at school… and actually put them right there in the middle of it. 🌍❤️

For a few peaceful minutes, it was just me, the water and pretending responsibilities don’t exist.

No emails.
No stress.
Just sea breeze and vibes 🌊✨

(At least until real life resumed 😭😂)

And just like that… we’re back at the airport in full mum/content creator mode. ✈️😂

The kids think we’re just going on holiday…
I know we’re about to film everything, delay snacks, and take 5 takes just to walk normally. Well they know their mama better 😂😎
